Latest knife that I built for my Dear neighbor, Mr. Lewis... He wanted a "Pigskinner", but when I presented it to him, told me it was just too nice, and will now be displayed in his gun case... What a compliment!

  2. Thanks buddy.... The paring knife I built (actually just carved it, now modern tools used), I made a wood sheath for it so she wouldnt cut herself reaching for it in the knife drawer... But Mr. Lewis's got me to thinking... "Why not make them, and make them out of exotic wood, like Cocobolo, Mahoghany, Bloodwood, etc??
I lined his with suede, and so he can oil his blade a few times, then after several ins and outs of the sheath, the oil should saturate the suede and keep his 1095 knife from rusting or getting patina on it (he wants it to stay just like it is...
I will post some more pictures tonite, Pams knife too.... I made that with a tree from our backyard, and like I said, besides my Bahco saw and sandpaper, every thing else was done with hatchet and Mora #2....

Thanks for the compliment bud... Pass around the link, I will try to keep it interesting!
